85 and older in TD? Free garbage service awaits; Garbage rates up slightly
TD city residents with service to a 32-gallon trash can will see their rate increase 10 cents to $21.89 per month. This includes the Household Hazardous Waste surcharge of $1.40. The Dalles Disposal offers free service to seniors 85 years and older. It also supports multiple community cleanups at no cost to volunteers or weekend warriors.
Delivery Truck drives into Columbia 15 miles east of TD
This morning at approximately 10 a.m., Wasco County 911 received multiple reports of a delivery truck that had gone into the Columbia River at Milepost 99 near Celilo Park. The Wasco County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police responded as well as Mid Columbia Fire & Rescue, Umatilla Fire (in the area for training), and ODOT.

Skyline Rd. Crash Causes Outage: Swift Crew Response Ensures Safety, 23 Homes Affected
Earlier today a car hit a pole at approx. 2719 Skyline Rd. The good news is we're told the driver is ok. The bad news is the pole is not going to survive. The crew is responding and getting geared up to take an outage to replace the pole. There will be 23 total meters affected.
