First Phase of TD Marina Clean-Up Finishes Today, Oct. 22
The change is pretty dramatic. The Dalles Marina, after 10 days of major clean-up, is looking a whole lot better on its western front. A fire destroyed 8 houseboats and sank two vessels on July. 4, prompting the clean-up that began on Oct. 12.

With this grant, Advanced Manufacturing students now have a welding jacket, angle grinder, a ball-peen hammer, vice grips and clamps. Construction Technology students receive a hardhat, headlamp and other safety equipment they’ll need for class and job site. Plus, all the students receive $160 to purchase work boots.

Wasco County Commissioners are set to consider a deal on Wednesday, October 20, to abate some $147 million in taxes on two new Google data plants. Ultimately, the question is do local leaders believe the taxes and fees set against Google will be enough for the community good. Will they give as much as they take in community resources?

TD Driver Alert: Detours in Place for Major Downtown Intersection

Lunker Time at Taylor Lake
Gavin Gooding, 17, of The Dalles, holds a nice trout caught at Taylor Lake this morning, Thursday, March 25. Gooding and friends Will Macomber, Kevin Reed and his daughter, Charlie. Spent the morning at the lake using Powerbait to haul in some nice catches. The lake was stocked on March 15, according to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife website. Wyden, Merkley push for clean water at Warm Springs

We regularly face “low pressure” or “no water” events that trigger boil-water notices," testified Raymon Tsumpti Chairman of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
