A structure fire claimed a home near town on Snowden Rd in White Salmon, Washington on June 25th, 2021.

A two-vehicle collision on The Dalles Bridge stopped traffic in both directions this afternoon, Friday, June 25. Two tow truck drivers were required to untangle a jeep and pickup. The wreck was part of a wild day for emergency responders as a fire at milepost 76/77 on Interstate 84 near Rowena tied up traffic and blew huge plumes of smoke as the temperature hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

A fire is burning a .5 - 1 mile stretch along I-84 in Rowena. A level 3 GO NOW evacuation is in effect along HWY 30 for addresses 5220-6090.

While firefighters were able to improve fire lines on the s-503 Fire on the Warm Springs Reservation yesterday, a second blaze occurred near the Warm Springs Casino on Highway 26, closing traffic and calling for additional support
