The change is pretty dramatic. The Dalles Marina, after 10 days of major clean-up, is looking a whole lot better on its western front. A fire destroyed 8 houseboats and sank two vessels on July. 4, prompting the clean-up that began on Oct. 12.

The Howards Haven Animal Sanctuary will host its 4th annual Pumpkin Patch event on October 23rd and 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 37 Monogan Howard Rd in Lyle. The event is free to attend although donations to the animal sanctuary are encouraged.

Construction crews began blasting away at the Mitchell Point Tunnel project west of Hood River today, Tuesday, Oct. 12. ODOT’s ace videographer Julie Murray took drone footage of the blasting that is occurring along I-84.
