Crews had dug a massive hole in First Street just west of the Union Street Underpass this morning, Tuesday, May 4. They are repairing a leak in a pipe for The Dalles Irrigation District. Crestline was also working on Google property, which is proposed for two new data centers just west of HYDRO off River Road.

Secretary of State puts the fight in Friday Night Lights vaccination at Wahtonka Field

Oregon’s Secretary of State, Shemia Fagan a product of Dufur and The Dalles High school turned out for the North Central Public Health’s Friday Night Lights mass vaccination for high school students at Wahtonka Field in The Dalles. Fagan compared vaccinations to stacking sandbags in the 1996 flood in The Dalles, both an effort to protect and save our community.

 ‘Saddle Up’ virtual auction benefits CGCC student scholarships

Mark your calendars and be ready to bid on great items starting Tuesday, May 4 through May 11, as Columbia Gorge Community Foundation hosts “Saddle Up and Celebrate,” one of two annual scholarship fundraisers. The need is high as there is currently only enough funding for half of the 70 students applying for scholarships.
