D21 Education Foundation looking to raise $10k, reports on 2020 impact
The Foundation is encouraged by the incredible generosity of The Dalles community and beyond that contributed over $38,000 last year. Students will learn blueprint reading, manufacturing processes, technical mathematics, tube and pipe fabrication and repair, stainless steel welding, design processes, aluminum welding, sheet metal fabrication, basic machining practices. Richardson resonates at DYW with violin playing, takes top honor
Wasco County Distinguished Young Women Chair Tiffany Prince congratulates the 2021 DYW winner Zora Richardson on Saturday night at The Dalles Civic Auditorium. A total of $15,000 was earned by six different participants at the program. Read more here.
Thirteen to compete in Saturday's Distinguished Young Women program
Thirteen Juniors are competing in the Wasco County Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program set to go off tomorrow, Saturday, March 20. Talents including tap dancing, singing, violin, a monologue, color guard, even balance beam will be on display. The program has been year’s in the making. Read all about the participants here.

THE DALLES, OR — Offering empowerment through education, the Columbia Basin Care Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for students pursuing healthcare careers.
The $2,500 scholarships support health-related studies in a variety of areas, such as nursing, food and nutrition, public health, social services, and more.

Dry Hollow Elementary's 100th day turns Car Parade
Dry Hollow Elementary staff took the 100th day of school to a new level this year with a host of crazy characters and a car parade to celebrate the effort students and parents have put into distance learning.
