White Salmon-Bingen Rotary Club Golf Tournament draws 72 players
As this event had to be postponed last year due to the pandemic, this year's event drew 72 players and 18 teams all excited to hit the course. It was easily the most players in the last ten years. Read more to find out who won.

A little 'trail magic' at Pacific Crest Trail Days in Cascade Locks
Thousands flocked to Cascade Locks this weekend, Aug. 20-22, as the annual PCT Days kicked into high gear after a hiatus during COVID. You did it! To celebrate its golden anniversary of service to the Gorge community, The Next Door’s 50th Anniversary Campaign sought to raise $50,000. The community exceeded that goal, gifting over $57,000!

Man with Shotgun Blasts at Downtown Lights in HR; TD, Sherman County Assist in Search
A man blasting a shotgun at streetlights in downtown Hood River was pursued by police from three counties in the wee hours of July 17, only later to be found via airplane two hours later on Indian Creek Trail.
