Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced the ninth annual Get There Challenge will take place from Oct. 4 through Oct. 17, participants will have the opportunity to win weekly and grand prize drawings.

Civil Air Patrol Cadets from Lyle, Goldendale and Hood River receive awards. Cadets who demonstrated leadership during the past year of quarantine by attending meetings regularly, teaching lessons on aerospace, leading leadership activities were honored.

You did it! To celebrate its golden anniversary of service to the Gorge community, The Next Door’s 50th Anniversary Campaign sought to raise $50,000. The community exceeded that goal, gifting over $57,000!

At times, we all need a little help. Here in our communities, there are many people who have developmental and intellectual disabilities who have jobs and live independently. But they can't always do it alone. Oftentimes a personal support worker or a job coach is needed to help them in daily or work-related tasks. Is this the job for you? It’s a nice way to earn some extra cash, even get health benefits. Oh, and change a life.
