MCEDD is now seeking public input on opportunities to create a regional transit system in the Gorge with an online public open house – open now through November 27, 2022. The online open house includes a map that includes new and expanded services and destinations. The survey gives residents the opportunity to add to or modify that map.

Tribal members to lead Gorge Commission in 2023 following historic vote

For the first time in the history of the Columbia River Gorge Commission, a member of a federally recognized tribe will lead the organization. During the November 8, 2022, Commission meeting, Carina Miller, of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, was elected as Chair of the Commission.

Election Day: It's now or never; Get 'em in before 8 p.m.

As of Monday, Oct. 7, Wasco and Hood River counties is off around 10 percent compared to the past midterm election of 2018. But there is still time. You have until 8 p.m. to get your ballots dropped off today, Tuesday, Nov. 8. And all ballot boxes in Oregon are open until 8 p.m. regardless of weather conditions.

4-day closures of TD Bridge restart Thursday, Sept. 29; Yep, that's tomorrow

“We need more weekend closures to complete this project, and they will resume on Thursday, September 29,” said ODOT Spokesperson Kacey Davey. Closures will begin on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. and end Monday mornings at 6 a.m., and the four-day closures could last into February of 2023.
