Oregon Arts Commission tips more than $2k into local nonprofit

The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association (CGOA) is proud to announce they have received a small operating grant of $2,261 from the Oregon Arts Commission. CGOA is also ready to swing at the Hood River Elks this Friday, Sept. 23 with the Jazz Collective Big Band. Tickets are still available.

Suspected Shooter Arrested in Klickitat County

On Thursday September 15, 2022 Deputies from the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested 30-year-old David J. “DJ” Wentworth . Wentworth was arrested near Goldendale Washington on Oregon State Parole Board warrants for violating parole. Wentworth is a suspect in the September 9th shooting of a male adult on west second street in The Dalles.

Fire threatens finish line for 'Zombie' on the Pacific Crest Trail

Fair weather and good conversation greet big crowd at Kiwanis Steak Feed

I met my scalper, Kiwanian Dennis Morgan, in the parking lot. He set me up with two delightful tickets for my wife Peggy and myself with seating, well, anywhere we wanted. It appeared the crowd was prepared for the event, many bringing their own steak knives. Many opted for Orange Soda and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Oh wait, that was me.
