Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, and project partners are dedicating the new Mitchell Point Tunnel as part of the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Uplift Local plans to expand coverage of local public meetings in English and Spanish by bringing a national program called Documenters to the Gorge. Hood River County Voters give Harris the nod with 65 percent of the vote, eclipsing her statewide tally by 11 points. County Voters also give the Columbia Gorge Community College bond enough push to pass, despite Wasco County Voters voting 53 percent against it.

Local voters mirrored the statewide tally as they thrashed Measure 118 with an 80 percent no vote. The Measure looked to tax big corporations and give every state resident $1,600.
