Meet in front of Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum at 6:45 p.m. Sunset is at 7:05 p.m., and the full moon rises at 7:28 p.m.

To be nominated for the Ageless Award, one needs to be:

• 75 years or older

• Who have made and are still making substantial contributions to their communities

• Who serve as models of both the ideal that all communities are intergenerational and that older adults are a significant part of the community fabric.

The Merino Family was recognized for their hard work and green thumb on east 12th Street The Dalles recently as their yard scored Septembers Beautification Award.
