In August of 2022, Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP) opened a new shelter in Klickitat County, providing temporary safe housing to those fleeing domestic violence. On Monday, October 2, 2023, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin full pavement reconstruction following the installation of a sanitary sewer main on Court St. between E. 12th St. and E. 13th St., weather permitting.
