The fire is currently 46% contained and crews are almost finished opening the 4860 Road for better access to the ridge that lies beyond the east side of the fire.

On Monday July 24, 2023, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin full pavement reconstruction following installation of a sanitary sewer main on Chenowith St. between Cherry Heights Rd. and W. 6 th St.

Goldendale, WA, July 13, 2023 - A rapidly spreading wildfire was reported at 3:15 p.m. today on Knight Road near Goldendale, prompting immediate evacuation orders and a swift response from firefighting agencies. The fire is estimated to be at 100 acres at this time.
