Commissioners to vote on Google proposal
Wasco County Commissioners are set to consider the approval of the latest Google tax agreement that would reduce property taxes for Google for 15 years and could also bring some 126 million dollars to the local community at their regular meeting Wednesday, March 3.

Landing in Monday
Eman Queveda, 19, of The Dalles took a little time out on Monday afternoon to test his skills at the skatepark. Below Jake Mick, 27 of Hood River went riding the rails. Lots of sun and 55 degrees made everything alright, and the rest of the week is looking good as well with temperatures hanging in the 50-degree area.
Arrest made in connection with January robbery and beating
Law enforcement has taken a suspect into custody in relation to the robbery and beating of Donald Lewis on January 22 at 3021 West 7th Street The Dalles, according to a press release from The Dalles Police Department.

Harlee's Ride
Two-and-a-half-year-old Harlee Kubitscheck wasn’t quite sure how to take the 23-degree temperatures and fresh pow downhill. But she ended her sled ride with a smile for her dad, Jacob, and sister, Lolani, 10. The family was gathered with about 30 other people at the Dry Hollow Elementary hill this afternoon, Friday, Feb. 12.

The shovel was awaiting Araya O’Neal with My Family’s Pet Doctor on Kelly Avenue this morning, Feb. 12. The 27-year-old started her day clearing sidewalks out front of the veterinary clinic run by Dr. Anne Maichel. Shovelers should keep their scoops handy. Forecasters are calling for more snow during the next two days and temperatures in the 20s. Google looking to build up to $1.2 billion in new facilities
The City of the Dalles and Wasco County have been approached by Google in regards to a proposed Strategic Investment Program (SIP) agreement for the development of property they have privately purchased primarily consisting of the former aluminum plant site and the rodeo grounds.

The acoustics at the Bingen Theater enticed a couple of Pigs on the Wing to start mixing it up with bands at the site. Jason Baker and Dave Lindenbaum are operating Sasquatch? Recordings at the Theater where they can get ‘Led Zepplin’ sound. And what about that name? Sasquatch? It’s real. Don’t kid yourself.

Sendejas put his hand in the air to help locals find homes
