December is here, I know, dear readers, I can’t believe it either. This past year has been both a wild white-knuckled ride, rife with political, environmental, and social equity struggles and the longest year or all time. Coronavirus has been both a moment of slowing down and rest and a test of our collective patience. I mean barely one month in and Tiger King became a thing. Idk about you but I think that says it all.
If October is the veil thinning, then November, and with it, Scorpio season is the sobering reminder that winter is on the way and we’d better get stacking the firewood- if we haven’t already. Now is the time to use the past for reflection on where you want to go and engage actively in your future.
This October, keep the big picture in mind. The best pancake batters are a little lumpy. So stir that batter softly. Speak up as an act of love instead of fear. When engaging act as if you were making pancakes for the whole family. You don’t have to beat the batter to death, just make it taste good. No force-feeding required. Be soft with yourself and others. Re-read your texts before sending them-they may only take two seconds to type and send but the results can be lasting. Maybe even try a phone call of facetime instead. Keep messages simple and clear. Now is not a good time to muddy the waters.
There’s a lot of questions about the future that are sitting heavy on our minds. We’re going to be feeling into and moving through our emotions A LOT this month. We’ll be better off if we help each other. This month trust in your emotions and your desire for sensitivity. It is a part of you...And it’s there for a reason, to make you and all of us better, kinder, more empathetic people.
The transits of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn have put us in a unique place to let go of the paradigms of the past. How are we reconstructing our lives? How are we channeling our energy? Are the actions you’re taking a result of your trauma or of your inner truth? All relevant questions in our current climate.
Last month’s energies centered around finding power in vulnerability and in being our most authentic selves. Some of this energy continues into this month as we reflect on what we’ve learned about who we want to be and use it to find practical ways to manifest our desired trajectory and the change we want to see in the world.
The year of 2020 has been a defining year for humanity so far, (marked by periods of intense upheaval). And now that eclipse season has arrived, the potential to initiate change is everywhere. Making this month's real question is… how do you want to define yourself? What do you want to do? What do you want to learn? Who do you want to be? What sets you free?
